The Model 549 Amber Side Turn Marker is a sealed LED light assembly used on railway rolling stock for turn indication and marker lighting. The unit integrates a 4-LED driver board, aluminum housing, polycarbonate lens, and silicone gasket system into a single fixture.
The housing is constructed from aluminum to support heat dissipation and structural durability. The amber polycarbonate lens includes an exterior anti-abrasive coating to help maintain optical clarity in outdoor service. Closed-cell silicone gaskets provide environmental sealing between the housing, lens, and mounting surface.
The internal driver board regulates input voltage from 18–45 VDC and powers four amber LEDs. The fixture connects using a universal MAT-N-LOK-II connector and includes mounting hardware for installation.
Designed for exterior rail environments, this assembly supports operation in vibration-prone and weather-exposed conditions typical of railway service.
