The Door Time Delay Relay is a single-function timing control device designed for use in train door systems. When a door open command is issued, the relay provides a controlled time delay before the door activates, allowing proper system sequencing and safe operation.
After the delay period is completed, the relay permits the door system to continue through its cycle and allows the door to close at the end of operation. This controlled timing helps prevent premature door movement, reduces wear on door components, and supports consistent performance in passenger rail applications.
The unit is housed in a durable, rail-approved enclosure and is built to Matrix Railway specifications for reliable service in transit environments. It is intended for integration into existing door control systems and replaces legacy door time delay relay designs.
